This is a follow-up to last week’s video and shows another technique for adding veins etc to botanical drawings:
As these take up a fair bit of storage space I will remove the videos from WP after a few weeks and transfer them to youtube and replace the embedded video with a link.
This video uses Frisket low tack masking film.
Nice to hear your dulcet tones again Darren! Honestly, I wish I had an nth of your talent, your drawings really are amazing and it’s so interesting to hear about the techniques that you use :O) x

Good morning Lisa, and thank you ๐. There are lots of things I am rubbish at. For instance using the WP scheduler as this post was supposed to appear this evening๐๐. Xx

Wow! I’ve tried the other technique , but with my coloured pencils I’m a little disappointed ๐
Ill try with the normal pencil….
What’s this weird / spectacular paper? I couldn’t hear the video as i wasn’t alone.

Thank you Lisa๐. Glad you enjoyed it. I use a LOT of Frisket film! It is great for removing annoying little blobs of excess pencil that spoil smooth areas, without using an eraser. Hugs to you too! X

What a cool product! I enjoy your video so much. I’m glad that unlike magicians who rarely share their tricks, artists like you are generous and share their knowledge. Have a great weekend Darren. Huge hugs.

Well, now. You are giving away all of your secrets! I’ve seen liquid Frisket, but never realized that it came in film form, too. I’m really glad you are going to set up a youtube channel for your art instruction videos. They will come in very handy when I stop organizing my art supplies and actually crack them open and use them! ๐ค
