Dominique has nominated me to do this again as she is curious to see more of my part of the world and also Mel has been writing words to accompany my images over on her site – so here is some more material for you.
All pics this time have been taken in Lancaster, UK, this summer.
With regards choosing nominees. I really don’t enjoy doing that, so anyone who wants to take part is very welcome to do so!
The rules are: Seven days. Seven black and white photos of your life. No people. No explanation. Challenge someone new each day (yes I am breaking this rule!)
I love this picture! I have not yet done your black and white challenge :(. I am not so great at these challenges, but I am figure out a way to do it. I think I might do all my black and white photos in one post–and I will probably write stuff. I always break the rules :).

Beautiful shot Darren. Love architecture photo a lot. And I do like the name of this street: New Street. It sounds full of hope.

Thank you Dominique. I walk down this street most days but rarely noticed the buildings before. This is the former cooperative store. The carvings include the Rose of Lancashire and a beehive which was the emblem of the cooperative. X

Thanks for the information. The story of building construction is a subject that fascinates me.

What a gorgeous building. The hive at the top is quite remarkable. ππ

It is lovely isn’t it? I never paid much attention to it before even though I walk past frequently. x
