Dominique has nominated me to do this again as she is curious to see more of my part of the world and also Mel has been writing words to accompany my images over on her site – so here is some more material for you.
All pics this time have been taken in Lancaster, UK, this summer.
With regards choosing nominees. I really don’t enjoy doing that, so anyone who wants to take part is very welcome to do so!
The rules are: Seven days. Seven black and white photos of your life. No people. No explanation. Challenge someone new each day (yes I am breaking this rule!)
Ooh, this is very nice! Where is this at? It is quite beautiful. Lovely architecture.

Penny’s hospital. 11 cottages and wardens house and chapel built in 1720 as homes for the poor by William Penny. Still used as sheltered housing now. Lovely isn’t it?

Absolutely! I am going to have to read about this, it’s fascinating. I cannot wait to see what Mel will come up with, too. Much love and hugs!

Thank you Val. It looks very different in colour with all the vibrant flowers in that central flower bed.

In addition to the architecture and photography, I like the history associated with the creation of this building and the use that is made of it today. That such a beautiful place is dedicated to people in need rejoices me. I imagine that several well-off people have already tried to acquire the building. Great picture Darren. I’m so happy that you are sharing with us part of your world.

Thank you Dominique😍. These challenges have made me look at my surroundings in a new way and I really like that. Whenever I pass this place I always think it looks such a lovely place to live. X

Very visually pleasing Darren, as well as the B/W lending an eerie and macabre feel to it!
