Atgofion has nominated me to do this again so I am adding another 7 to the original 14!
Some of my pics are new, some are old, some have appeared on Instagram already (in colour). Some of the subjects have special significance for me, some have special significance for friends, some are just pretty pictures.
With regards choosing nominees. I really don’t enjoy doing that. So I am going to use this opportunity to nominate new bloggers and new followers to help them enter the fold of this lovely community. There is no obligation, and anyone else who wants to take part is very welcome to do so!
Yay! More pics!! 😄 This one looks fab!

Thank you Sarah. Believe it or not this was taken in Lancaster city centre at rush hour on friday evening only the week before last!

OMG! Ummm…
Love this but…
He drove himself mad, dragging her corpse all over town. The wizards had given up hope. Each spell resulted in her untimely death. One more spell, he thought. He drank the purple liquid quickly. His shrieks were heard throughout the town as he surrendered his last breath to join her.
Cool photo!

Thank yoy Mel. Great bit of writing and it sounds like you have been to Lancaster on a friday night😄😉

The other interesting coincidence in your writing here is that this photo was taken outside Lancaster castle – where the ‘Pendle Witches’ were held before execution in 1612.

OMG! I’m getting a little scared there. LOL!
I’ve actually taken that tidbit and plan to flesh out a dark tale. I might need more photos for inspiration. I’m just saying. LOL!
That is wild! It is a perfect setting though. I love it!
Have a great Monday my friend! I’m off to get some sleep. Have no idea what I’m doing awake. Hugs!

Sleep well. There is actually a pic of the castle itself scheduled for later in the week!

Does this mean that if we keep nominating you that you’ll continue this series? I hereby nominate you! TWICE!

Now I know you are not well so I would feel mean if I declined – that is not fair!
I will take a short break then put some more up, OK?

You don’t have to do that, Darren. I was only teasing you!

I know but I never turn down a challenge.
It occurs to me that I should not say that as you lot will be thinking up all sorts of ideas now…

You do know that we can extend this thing a whole bunch, right!? I think you should put together a bunch of funny pics for Guest in Jest. That would be a hoot!

I’m not sure I know how to do funny pictures. There is the one I did when Roda, Lisa and Dominique wanted a pic of me for the collaboration…..

I know. Especially with you around😄. Reece my trainer knows me too well too and always offers a harder option for every exercise, knowing I can’t say no. And how do you think I got into my predicament at work? Again- volunteering for things. I really should learn.

We shall make a T-shirt for you saying: No Thank you. That’s interesting, but I’m not interested. 😄

Thank you. I must, however, confess to photoshopping out a car, a litter bin, a drainpipe and a central heating vent….

Busy busy busy! Had zero time to myself all weekend and have visitors at work this week. Could go completely bonkers by mid-week!

Hang on in there Darren but if you do go bonkers just roll with it – I always find that’s the best way ;O) x

Thank you😄. Hard to believe it was rush hour on a friday evening two weeks ago.

That is why one always has a camera strapped to some part of ones being…..for an incredible one off, never again to be seen moment…Captured…

Smartphones are great from this point of view.

I sometimes get a better shot with the phone than the camera !?… At least you captured it..:)

They are good for distance and in good light. I have not yet got the hang of persuading mine to focus on flowers in the foreground rather than on the background.

When i was photographing the bee’s, I ended up using my phone….I found that if you just hold it still on the image you want, it focuses on its own…BUT, it takes a steady hand if you dont have an anti-shake on you phone….My phone actually took better pics of the bees than I got on my camera…It’s just patience and practice, I think….

Thank you. I need to be more patient! I know my friend Roda takes great closeups of bees with her phone too. I am new to this smartphone lark having only taken the plunge in December!

Dont feel alienated, I personally hate technology…but when it comes to photography…any means is an end of a capture….

Hi Darren 🙂
Yay!! Thanks for the nomination! I am excited to do this challenge again 🙂
Love this photo. It looks a bit ominous, especially the bottom half which is dark. Looks like the windows could be haunted!

Thank you. Interesting comment Sophie. This was possibly the final walk of many of the condemned prisoners from the castle on their way to be executed until executions moved from the old gallows to a new one at the castle itself. Haunting would not be a surprise!

Wow really?? Knowing that gave me the chills when I looked at the picture again. You captured the feeling well in this picture!

It does have that atmosphere. It is the quickest route from the castle to the bus station but you hardly ever see anyone use it. Maybe something about that atmosphere?
LikeLiked by 1 person
I would be scared to take that route lol 🙂
